What does Cam Newton really do for the Panthers, UFC 129 Recap, and the PGA Tour is at Quail Hollow this week. The start of my favorite month in Charlotte.  

The 2011 NFL Schedule is out and opening weeekend is 9/11. Pretty sure both sides will get a deal done before that date as that backlash could be unreal. I look at the schedule game by game and make predictions. I predict better than 2010, but how much better?

Also, Woody Durham is retiring as the voice of the Tar Heels. A classy man that has been a major part of my growing up listening to UNC broadcasts.    

Well, next weekend there are two major sporting events, UFC 126 and the Super Bowl. One of these puts on a great show and the other's focus is on the event itself.   One will have to discuss a potential work stoppage and the off field actions of a star QB, and have a special section in Monday's newspaper discussing the best commericals, all not part of the game.  The other will focus on the action in a cage and keep moving forward, along with their sport. They get "IT"
